Aren't those bracelets great? I found this old LIFE photo over at Miss Moss and it inspired me to go through my vintage pieces.
Amongst my favorite treasures: My moms high school charm bracelet - total 1950's stuff, literally, and my dads stainless steel watch, which is probably older than my mom (they had a 21 year age difference, long story... I'll tell you all about it one day.) A vintage 925 silver beaded bracelet with a blank plate, purchased online and a Noah's Ark bracelet that's close to 20 years old purchased at the mall.
I love throwing random pieces together and rolling with it. When I choose my jewelery/ accessories/ clothes for the day, I go by my mood not necessarily by what's trendy. Do you have any old, favorite trinkets? Do you dress by your mood? What kind of looks inspire you?
Those are some lovely pieces! I love vintage, it's nice to have something with some history, something unique. Unfortunately I don't have anything old, except my granny's old pearls, but I haven't currently got an oufit that would go with it. I do still have my mom's music box, which is probably about 40 years old. It still works a bit, although the ballerina has lost her arm, and some of the notes in the song are skipped, but I love the thing :) I'm also very fond of old black and white photos.
